  • What is permanent Makeup (PMU)?

Permanent makeup (PMU) is the process by which sterile hypoallergenic cosmetic pigments are placed into the dermal layer of the skin using single-use, individual, disposable, sterile needles. With PMU, pigment is implanted into the upper layer of the skin - the epidermis. This is the layer of skin that you can see and it is constantly shedding and renewing itself. Because of the process of cell turnover, the permanent make-up pigments will fade over time.
